  • Minimum Educational Qualification for becoming Teacher for Classes VI-VIII (Elementary Stage):
  • Graduation and surpassed or appearing inside the Final Year of 02-Years’ Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.) (through something Name regarded).
  • OR
  • Graduation with Minimum 50% Marks and surpassed or appearing in 01-Year’s Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).
  • OR

  • Graduation with as a minimum 50% Marks and exceeded or performing in 01-Year’s Bachelor of Education (Special Education)* / B.Ed. (Spl. Edn)

Punjab TET Online Application Form 2018

*Diploma / Degree Course in Teacher Education: For the purposes of this Notification, a Diploma / Degree Course in Teacher Education recognized via the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) only will be taken into consideration. However, in case of Diploma in Education (Special Education) and B.Ed. (Special Education), any Course recognized via the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) most effective shall be considered.
Training to be passed through: Any Person with Diploma in Education (Special Education) (D.Ed. S.E.) or Bachelor of Education (Special Education) (B.Ed. SE) Qualification shall undergo, after Appointment an National Council for Teacher Education diagnosed 06-Months’ Special Program in Elementary Education.
The Minimum Qualifications referred above follow to the Teachers of Languages, Social Studies / Social Science, Mathematics, Science, and so on. In respect of Teachers for Physical Education, the Minimum Qualification Norms for Physical Education Teachers stated within the National Council for Teacher Education Regulation, Dated 3rd of November 2001 (as amended occasionally) shall be applicable. For Teachers of Art Education, Craft Education, Home Science, Work Education, and so forth., the prevailing Eligibility Norms prescribed by the State Governments and other School Managements shall be relevant till such time the National Council for Teacher Education  lays down the Minimum Qualifications in recognize of such Teachers.
The Candidates, who're appearing inside the Final Year of Bachelor Degree in Education or Diploma in Elementary Education, and so on., are Provisionally Admitted and their respective Punjab State Teacher Eligibility Test (PSTET) Certificate shall stay valid simplest on passing the aforesaid Examinations.
The Candidate no longer having any of the above Qualification shall now not be eligible for performing in Punjab State Teacher Eligibility Test.
